Slaves to Darkness army project (pt.5) - Painting two Gorebeast Chariots WIP

Got two of the Gorebeast Chariots almost ready and painted now. Only have to finish their bases and put varnish on top. Might do some simple freehand symbols later for the whole army if they look like they're in need of such. 

Again, I included the paint bottles on the pictures. I won't be painting the whole army in one go, so needed to have some kind of notes. There were a few specific and new-for-me-things I did try to use this time:

    1) Brainmatter Beige for basecoating wood & bone, undercoating reds and even for the final highlights. 

    2) Nazdreg Yellow (with some Seraphim Sepia & Athonian Camoshade for shading and Tesseract Glow for glazing) highlighted up to Kraken Skin for the goat-spider's skin. 

    3) Also experimenting with wet blending a lot, especially on the beast´s skin tones. 

    4) Leather on boots & gloves was done with Light Grey & Pale Grey Blue highlights, with Skeleton Horde, Sepia & Camoshade washes for shading (these were also used to shade the wooden parts). 

    5) Iron was basecoated with Matt Black, Wyldwood and/or Typhus Corrosion, drybrushed with Oily Steel, shaded and weathered with Sepia & Camoshade. Edges and scratches were done with Vallejo Air Steel.
