Today I've been working on a few different units for the big guys. First of all the Centauroid Bikers are now done. Just have to set up some lights for taking (hopefully) a bit better pics than just with the camera flash. Anyways here's a few shots of their final painting stages. Same good routines as with the rest of the guys. I also started painting another Demon Prince type character, who'll become the warlord for this army. Gonna paint him up much like the other DP I finished earlier, but might add some yellow markings on (maybe try Blood Angels "tear"drops or Thousand Sons sigil transfers).
I finally based the three Obliterators, and glued a few more bits in. Only some minor sculpting to do on them, generally just filling gaps and merging and molding things together. The big pile of old toy parts a.k.a. the Khorne Lord of Skulls is also taking shape nicely. Just glued in many more bits and pieces. Now in addition to the big yellow Dublo car and the green tractor there's champagne & juice bottle caps, pump from a soap dispenser, electric wire, Lego Technics, Pegasus Hobbies gothic city pieces, buttons, C-cassette and clothes hanger offcuts, card, GW tank hatches, shields and Chaos Warrior horn parts. At least. Did some simple sculpting (filling gaps and sketching shapes) with a mix of Milliput & Green Stuff. Just to save a bit of GS which is more expensive, and I'm running out of it. Still not sure how to do hands for this guy. Rules say this fellow carries a mighty cleaver and a big gun in addition to the one that's jutting out of it's (soon-to-be-sculpted) mouth.
