Imperial Fists standard bearer (painting WIP)

This morning I started painting the Imperial Fists standard bearer. Texturing with Agrellan Earth and matt black spray undercoat were done last week.

First three quick drybrushes allover, from the greys to Mummy Robes (that huge soft Tempera 14 brush I've trimmed a bit is phenomenal for this). Then heavy washes in places, starting with the Yellow Ink, going through the browns towards the Black Wash for guns. Not waiting anything to dry. Then heavy smudging, drybrushing, loaded brushing and wet blending of the lovely Phoenix Flames to get the yellow armour and banner basecoated. Utilized the also lovely Citadel Standard Brush that I've used since the late 90's & still going strong.

Next I'll do some metals, add dirt on the base and glazing on the yellows. This chap is gonna be finished in no time!
